7. I started to paint on wood slices again...

Autumn is here so for an artist like me this means only one thing: it's time to prep new stock! When I say new stock I mean by painting on wood slices in order to turn them into different decor and accesories: ornaments, keychains, car charms or coasters.

Coasters - the star of this page

This isn't my first time when I plan to make coasters, last year I painted a few and I ruined them with resin, it was a total disaster. Mastering resin is still a learning curve for me and some projects end up as failures that don't deserve to be sold. I got my hopes up for this year though and I ordered the expensive stuff so fingers crossed for my new coasters!

Next step: resin! Hopefully, this time everything will go according to plan and all my designs will be showcased at this year's Christmas market! Winterval is one of Ireland's most popular event/event and is located in Waterford City. I'm very nervous and excited at the same time because this season I'll have my own wooden cabin for the first time. There should be plenty of room as the measurements are 2.5 x 3m and the final display should look amazing.

These mini paintings are only the beginning... My next project is Christmas ornaments and this year I'll have different ones but this is a subject for another diary page right?
