5. In progress but unfinished ...
I started a new collection ...
What can I say...I'm very good at starting multiple pieces at once but I'm the best at not finishing them. I have moments when I feel so inspired and I feel the urge to do way too many things at once, I get overwelmed and I end up abandoning them all.
What a strange feeling... Wanting to depict this amazing story you have in mind but at the same time not having the mental strength to achieve the main goal. It feels almost like piloting a ship without a compass and with no direction, where can you go?
My passion for symbols is growing...
Meanwhile I sort things out, let me share with you some ideas I have in mind...
Dacian mythology, romanian folklore and viking symbols...
There are so many things that truly deserve our attention, so many stories that remained untold and sometimes the similarities between cultures are insane. After a long time of reading and researching viking culture, I finaly understand why I am so drawn to them. They have a few things in common with my very own ancestors: dacians.
Vikings and dacians believed that death is a transition and the only way to the afterlife. My ancestors were certain that they are immortals and they were always ready to die in battle in order to reach to the gods. Dacian culture is my new subject to explore and my new goal is to translate it through brushstrokes on canvas.
With this special ocassion I'd like to present you my new studio assistant
